St. Clare’s Scholarship Foundation has partnered with Binghamton University to provide an annual $2000 scholarship to one student who will be attending as a first-year student in the Fall 2019 semester.

The deadline to apply is March 1, 2019 and the winner will be announced in May 2019. The scholarships are awarded based on financial need, community service involvement, and academic achievement as determined by your high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores (if taken).

In order to be considered for the St. Clare’s Scholarship, you must apply for admission to Binghamton University before March 1, 2019.

Who is eligible?


To be eligible for the osf saint clare Scholarship, applicants must be Catholic and must have graduated from a Catholic high school within the past two years.

Applicants must also be planning to attend a Catholic college or university as a full-time student in the fall of the year they apply for the scholarship.

Additionally, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and must have demonstrated financial need as determined by their college or university’s financial aid office.

When can I apply?


The St. Clare Scholarship program is open to any new student who will be attending a Catholic high school in the fall. The deadline to submit an application is May 1st.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must submit an application, along with a high school transcript, a letter of recommendation, and an essay.
Students will be notified of their scholarship award in June.

The maximum scholarship award is $2,500. Partial scholarship awards are also available.
The scholarship award covers tuition, books, and fees for the academic year.
The St. Clare Scholarship is renewable for up to four years of high school, provided the student maintains a 2.5 GPA and remains active in the Catholic community.

What should I bring with me on the day of interviews?


If you are interviewing for the St. Clare’s Scholarship, you should bring your most recent transcript, a copy of your SAT or ACT scores, and a list of extracurricular activities and leadership positions you have held.

You should also dress professionally and arrive early to your interview.
During the interview, the panel will ask you questions about your academic achievements, why you want to attend St. Clare’s, and what you think makes you a good candidate for the scholarship. They may also ask you about your future plans and how receiving the scholarship would impact those plans.
After the interviews are complete, the panel will deliberate and select a recipient based on their performance during the interview, as well as their academic record.

What happens if I am selected?


If you are selected to receive the St. Clare’s Scholarship, you will be notified on Diploma Day. You will then have your name announced at the Baccalaureate Mass and receive a congratulatory letter from the President of St. Clare Catholic School. The scholarship amount will be applied to your tuition for the following year.
